CT Scanner A CT
scan is done to check exactly where the cancer is, and if it has spread Before
the scan you will be given a drink, which you must finish, and it shows up on
the x-ray and gives a clear picture. You
then change into a hospital gown, and lie down on the table, where usually,
you will be given an injection of dye. This will make you feel hot, and make
you think that you are going to urinate, but you won’t, and the feeling
passes in less than a minute. The
scan is painless. All you have to do is lie completely still with your arms
outstretched behind you, and after about 20 minutes, it’s all over. Pain rating on this one is 0/10
as there is none. |
