Memory

Get yourself a notepad and pen, or better still, a dictation machine; even for routine thoughts during the day.

I found that my memory was appalling and that everything needing done, had to be written down, otherwise it was forgotten within minutes of thinking it.

I would find myself in rooms, knowing full well that I had went in to get something; but what?

Every morning now I print out a “to do” list from the computer, which even lists simple things such as feeding the dog, and taking my medicines.

The good news is that eventually, things will get better, but as far as I know, they will not return back to normal, so be prepared for it as it is very frustrating.

Back to the homepage or Hit your return key to go back to the page you came from.

Although I now have several dictation machines, this is the one that I use most often, as it’s very easy to use.

It’s digital (no tapes), has folders, and you can upload everything onto a computer.

I bought it at Argos, and if you click on the picture it will take you to the Argos site, then just type the word ‘dictation’ into the search engine to view their range which starts at £17.99.
